민속학적 분류체계를 통한 한국 무예의 분석
인류의 생존과정에는 필연적으로 투쟁의 역사가 함께하였다. 그에 따른 필요는 신체를 쓰는 기술을 발전시키는 동력이 되었고, 다양한 이름으로 지 칭되는 신체문화를 불러왔다. 특히 인간의 추상적 사고와 조직화 능력은 단 순한 경험의 누적을 넘어서 놀이나 의식과 같은 유의미한 행위의 창조를 불 러왔다. 그것이 기술적으로나 문화적으로 정형화되어 지식으로 남을 경우에 는 이름이 붙기도 했다. 그 중 이 땅 위에서 온전히 몸만을 이용하여 다투었 던 신체문화의 경우, ‘무’, ‘변’, ‘수박’, ‘수박희’, ‘상박’, ‘각저’, ‘각희’ 등의 이 름이 기록을 통해 남아있다. 그러나 이러한 명칭들은 이미 수 세기 이전에 남겨진 산물이기에 명증성을 보여주지 못한다. 이러한 상황에서 태권도, 택 견, 씨름 등을 전승하는 이들은 그들 기예의 역사적 근거로 위의 명칭이 등 장하는 기록을 무분별하게 인용해왔다. 이는 우리 역사 속 신체문화 계보를 이해하는데 불편함을 가중하는 요소로 작용하였다. 본인은‘구별짓기’라는 인 류학적 기법과 전술학, 민속학의 지식을 적극 이용하여 이와 같은 문제를 해 결하기 위한 실마리를 찾아보려 한다.
Analysis of Korean Martial Arts through Folklore Classification System
The history of struggle was inevitably accompanied in the process of mankind's survival. the consequential need became a driving force in developing the skills of using the body. and the body culture has been called in various names. In particular, human abstract thinking and organizational abilities have brought about the creation of meaningful actions such as plays and rituals beyond the accumulation of simple experiences. When it is technically and culturally standardized and remains as knowledge, it would have been given a name. Among them, in the case of the body culture, which used only the body to fight with on this land, names such as 'Mu', 'Byeon', 'Subak', 'Subakhee', 'Sangbak', 'Gakjeo', and 'Gakhee' remain throughout the records. However, these names do not show evidence, as they have been left behind centuries ago. In this situation, those who have passed down Taekwondo, Taekkyeon, and Ssireum have indiscriminately cited the record in which the above names appear as historical grounds for their martial craft. this has acted as a factor that adds to the inconvenience in understanding the body culture lineage in our history. I attempt to find clues to solve such a problem by actively using the anthropological technique called 'distinction' and the knowledges tactics and folklore.
